Hey there, I'm Louis, an 18-year-old Classics student.

I interview world-leading experts about the subjects they love most. The idea is simple: you shouldn't have to be a specialist to enjoy serious curiosity.

The conversations are written for curious readers, not experts. You probably won't know much about the subjects we discuss, from ancient medicine to difficult books, but that's the point: it's an invitation into a field you wouldn't otherwise explore.

Part of what interests me is academic curiosity itself. Why does someone spend a life with old texts, dead languages, or impossible questions? What do they see that the rest of us miss? And in an age of AI, when information is everywhere, what remains more human than attention and expertise?
